Phase I provides comfortable 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom apartments with secure building access, well-maintained grounds, and a quiet residential setting close to essential services and transportation. With on-site management and responsive maintenance, residents enjoy a safe and supportive living environment designed to promote independence and peace of mind.
Anyone who is 62 years or older or who would benefit from the features of our mobility-accessible units may apply for residence at St. Sharbel Village Apartments Phase I. The building was constructed under an agreement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) specifically designed for low-income residents. Please contact the office for current income limits to determine if your income qualifies. Your rent will be approximately thirty percent (30%) of the adjusted monthly income of all residents in the unit.

What is included in my rent?
Water, garbage, electricity, and gas are included in your rent. Cable TV, phone, and internet are not included in rent.
How many apartments are at your facility?
190 one-bedroom apartments with 20 being mobility accessible apartments and 10 two-bedroom apartments.
Can I have a vehicle on-site?
Yes, parking is available in the back lot on a first-come first-serve basis.
What arrangements have been made concerning laundry facilities?
There is a central laundry room containing coin operated washers and dryers.
Do you allow pets?
Yes, please let the office know if you wish to bring a pet to the facility. Please refer to the Pet Policy for more guidance.
Can I see an apartment?
Yes, please contact the office at (309) 676-0041 to set up a tour.
Will there be any activities at the facility?
B'nai B'rith has an active residents' association that plans many functions in the community room.
Is this a smoke free environment?
No, at this point residents are allowed to smoke in their apartments. According to State and Local laws, you must be 15 feet from any door or window. Please note, HUD considers marijuana a banned substance under federal guidelines.
Does the facility provide Wi-Fi and cable TV?
Wi-Fi is available on the first floor. Cable TV is available in the community room.
Can I have visitors/guests?
Yes, you may have visitors. Residents are responsible for their visitors while on the property. Guests may stay on occasion not to exceed 14 cumulative days in a 12-month period.
